We have known the Cash family and their agency for many years, and we could not be more honored that Trip has entrusted us with the care of the clients and friends his family has served since 1961.
This isn’t a relationship that started yesterday. Our two agencies have worked alongside one another for years, and our own roots trace back in a similar way — Virginia Commonwealth Corporation was formed in 1969 through the coming together of agencies whose histories run even deeper, back to 1938. In fact, long before any of us imagined this day, a young agent named Thurman S. Cash Jr. got his start with one of those very agencies in 1958. So in a real sense, this is less a transition between strangers and more a continuation of a story our two families and businesses have been writing together for a long time.
What matters most to us, and what we know matters most to Trip, is that nothing changes about the level of care you receive. You are still a valued customer with a name and a story, not a policy number. As an independent agency with a broader range of carriers and additional resources, we’re confident we can continue serving you well and, in many cases, find you even more competitive coverage options.
To help make this transition as smooth as possible, Trip will be working from our office for a period of integration, so you’ll continue to see a familiar face.
